Being sustainable rolls off the tongue easily but in practice it takes a lot of time and effort to reduce your carbon footprint.
At Terinex, we are passionate about sustainable packaging. We focus on new technologies with the support and partnership of our supply chain to be able to offer advice and produce flexible packaging that is sustainable and fit for purpose whilst maintaining quality of the highest standard.
There has been a great deal of innovation and investment to improve your options and offer greater choice for flexible packaging that not only looks good but has the technical properties required to protect your products.
We have a variety of compostable film and inks that are certified compostable for both industrial and home environments and are also suitable for anaerobic digestion. Our compostable films are made from renewable resources and have excellent moisture, aroma and gas barrier properties with resistance to oils and grease. They can be used for VFFS and HFFS as a mono or laminate structure.
Our compostable films are ideal for packaging coffee, tea, dried foods, snacks, confectionery, fresh produce and bakery products.
Most of our films are OPRL certified for recyclability. This includes the majority of our OPP and CPP films including metallised films. Our PE films are also recyclable and can be laminated with MDOPE as a replacement for a PET/PE laminate to offer fully recyclable laminates.
PCR – Plastic tax exempt
We have a wide range of OPP and CPP films that have 30% post-consumer recycled content (PCR) as well as PCR PET films that have recycled content ranging from 30% to 90%. These films are exempt from the plastic tax that was introduced in April 2022 and will save you money.
Our PCR OPP is also recyclable and has excellent sealability, clarity and moisture barrier qualities. It is ideal for use with VFFS and HFFS and applications such as baked goods, snacks, cereals, processed meats, fruit, vegetables, salads, sandwiches and confectionery.
Our PCR PET film has high temperature and excellent chemical resistance, good thermal stability and high seal strength. It is ideal for ambient, chilled, frozen and ovenable applications such as pies, pasties, paninis, fish, meat, vegetables and ready meals.
